BBC Songs Of Praise

+++
People sometimes ask me if I pray to my guardian angel, I pray only to God, not to any angel. But I ask my angel to help. As a child I remember learning the prayer to the guardian angel that so many children in Ireland and elsewhere learnt. It’s beautiful:
Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day,
be at my side
to light and guard,
to rule and guide.

I have never actually considered this a prayer to my guardian angel – just another way of asking it for help. If you like the prayer of course use it, but talking to your guardian angel as if it’s a friend works just as well.

Blessings to you, your family and loved ones.

A CHRISTMAS PRAYER OF HOPE
My God
I ask you this Christmas for the gift of the Angel of Hope
to come into my life,
into the lives of those I love,
and into the lives of everyone in the world
in need of hope at this time.
Amen

I ask for blessings for you, your family and friends this Christmas. May hope shine in your lives always.
Lorna
