Dear Friends
Today we celebrate all over the world the International Yoga Day to spread awareness about yoga. Yoga's origins can be traced to India over 5,000 years ago. a. The word yoga was first mentioned in ancient sacred texts called the Rig Veda. The Vedas are a set of four ancient sacred texts written in Sanskrit. This ancient art of life is a tressure to our humanity.
Today, yoga has become much more popular in many countries than ever. But unfortunately, the true sense of yoga is unknown and does not reach out! Yoga has become just for flexibility, relaxation, and stress relief. You can just do some occult practises and awaken some supernatural powers. On the other hand, many forms of yoga are misunderstood and malpractice! It is important to raise awareness of yoga on this international yoga day. Yoga is all about outstanding a balance in life and, therefore, we must make it a part of our lives. Yoga can never be a religious practise but a spiritual practice, which transcends us beyond religious limitations. Yoga is more than just the asanas wherein you twist your body or practise difficult asanas. There are a lot of other ancient techniques too.
The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means "to join or to unite," symbolising the union of body, mind, and soul. The ultimate purpose of yoga is to have harmony with body, mind, and soul. Once we have this union, we can simply discover the true essence of ourselves and the others' self too. This understanding and realization are so fundamental. Today we need to build a healthy humanity. As we live in the time of war, violence, hatred, racism it all destroys the humanity! Whereas the practice of yoga helps us to spread peace and harmony to our world.
Wishing you all a very Happy Yoga Day!
