"There's only one way to Heaven."
That was the Sunday School mantra. They drilled it into us: the only way to God is through "accepting" Jesus into my heart.
The verse was always John 14:6:
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
But if you peel it back to the Greek, you see something more profound. Jesus says ἐγώ εἰμι (egō eimi) = "I Am."
That's deliberately evocative of the name God gave Moses in Exodus 3:14: "I Am who I Am" (Ehyeh asher ehyeh).
So a fuller translation of John 14:6 could read:
"I Am is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by I Am."
That changes the whole frame.
Maharaj-ji said: "God, Guru, and devotee are one."
Hanuman showed it by tearing open his chest. And what was inside? Not bones or blood, but Rama and Sita — the living "I Am" glowing in his heart.
The gesture is the same teaching: you don't reach God by climbing a ladder into the sky. You reach God by realizing the "I Am" that already lives in you.
God told Moses His name was "I Am" so Moses would recognize himself in it.
Jesus said, "I Am IS the way," so his disciples would recognize themselves in it.
And here's the kicker: you, my dear reader, are also "I Am."
Heaven and Hell? Not real estate. Just states of mind. If you forget who you are, you'll wander through hells.
If you remember the "I Am," those states collapse.
Presence remains.
So the Sunday School lesson wasn't wrong — it was incomplete.
The way, the truth, and the life isn't out there. It's the flame already burning in your chest.
Tear it open. Look inside. You'll see it too.
Ram Ram and Amen,
JC
