On Sex and God…

Xes (Sex) and God

One day Xes asked an appointment with God. God being compassionate gave the appointment to Xes.

When Xes entered into the chamber of God, God realised that Xes was sad and upset.

God asked Xes: Xes, why are you sad and upset? What happened to you?

Xes replied: O God, how can I be without sadness? People deride me. Some think that I am not spiritual. Some advocate to renounce me and take up celibate life.

Those who live celibate life for your sake  or for the sake of spiritual life are considered to be more spiritual than those who do not live a celibate life.

My questions are: why did you create me? Am I bad? Did you ask people to renounce  me for your sake, for the sake of spiritual life?

God replied: Xes, whatever I have created  is good. You are good. I have not asked anyone to renounce you for my sake.

To renounce something which I have created, to think that something which I have created is bad is an insult to me.

You are created to be an intimate expression of my divine love. You are sacred and to be expressed with dignity and respect. You should not be made  profane and used for undignified manifestations.

As per the life of celibacy, I have not asked any one to sacrifice their sexuality for my sake.

To renounce sexuality for my sake, for the sake of any person or for the sake of any  ideal, spiritual or not, is  violence.

Celibacy must be a personal choice. It is one's personal responsibility.

Celibacy should not be imposed in the name of God, in the name of a religion, in the name of a person, in the name of spirituality, in the name of any ideal. Any imposition from outside is violence. It may lead to perversive manifestations.

Renunciation of sexuality is not absolutely necessary to live a spiritual life. Sexual life need not be an obstacle for one's spiritual life. One can live deep spiritual life while living his or her sexual life.

Xes thanked God, received blessings from God and left God with peace in its heart.
